The 'BOXER' II IN-LINE FILLER of LID- and BOTTOM BOXES.
For BATCHES of 5 to 200 SHEETS.
AUTOMATIC BOXERS 'BOXER' II and 'BOXER' I,
1 to 4 STREAMS, for LID-and-BOTTOM boxes,
10x15cm, 4x6", A4, U4, 11x17"
The 'BOXER' is an in-line packaging unit to fit
Automation-Stackers; the 'Boxer' is
available for in-line and as stand alone for manual feeding of
batches or packs.
The 'BOXER' is made to bring the batches of sheets into prefabricated
lid-and-bottom boxes.
The batches can have a height from 2 mm (0.08") to 20 mm (0.8") and are boxed
in 1, 2 or 4 streams. Applications for the 'BOXER' are photo paper, ink-jet paper,
laser labels, laser sheets, film, foil, design paper, etc. DIN A3 short grain is
another good opportunity.
The boxes are stacked in a hopper-loader of 100 cm (40") height; this corresponds
to
over 55 boxes of 18 mm (.7"). At a cycle rate of 5 boxes per minute a hopper is
refilled about each 10 minutes, at 10 cycles/minute reloading is done every 5
minutes. A hopper is reloaded on the run.
The capacity for A4 double stream is 20 boxes per minute (cycle speed up to 10)
The empty box is pushed pneumatically from the hopper into the filling station. In
double stream, one box comes from the drive side and the other box from the operator
side. The batches are forwarded step-and-go by swivel fingers to the filling station.
In the filling station the lid is lifted by a suction arm at the ingoing side, the batch
is pushed all the way into the box and the lid is closed.
A pneumatic pusher moves the filled boxes on a 90° table.
Batches can pass the filling station without being boxed, ready for manual
take-away or for in-line wrapping.
A stand alone 'BOXER' can be field converted for in-line operation and connected
with an Automation-Stacker.
Optional is a vacuum sheet feeder (single or double stream) mounted
over the conveyor.
Various operations can be performed in-line after the boxing: labelling,
shrink wrapping, overwrapping with tear strip.
