GOOD REASONS
TO INVEST IN A
ROLACUT-45,

PROFITABLE TIMES
WITH DIN A4
OFFICE LABELS
STRONG GROWTH in A4 OFFICE LABELS and
the NEED for DEDICATED, MATURE TECHNIQUE.
THE ROLACUT-45 is SPECIAL MACHINERY for LASER LABELS
OPENING NEW HORIZONS in a LUCRATIVE MARKET.

1. HIGH SPEED MATRIX REWIND.
The 1 mm (0.04") safety edge of office labels is the crux. Nobody wants to risk a label
stuck in the printer and to stand up for the trouble. Save is save. Rewinding the fragile
matrix ladder to 60 cm diameter, consistently and at web speeds over 100 meters,
that is the essential strength of the Rolacut-45.
The 1 mm safety boarder of office labels requires highly refined rewind technique with
a sensitive dancer, controled by a frequency inverter. Matrix rewind is the most crucial
issue for a successful office label operation.
The double-stream technique of the ROLACUT-45, for 2x DIN A4 side-by-side, is the
key to the reliable matrix rewind and steady output. A 2 mm ladder of 297 mm across
breaks easily and reduces speed. Therefor the ROLACUT-45, double-stream, runs the
matrix 2 x 210 mm wide, supported in the centre, long grain, the stable way for reliable
der rewind, consistent high speed and no jams.
Current label presses are designed for colour labels, mostly running a matrix of 4 or
5 mm and more; a 2 mm fragile matrix is not demanded from label presses for colour
labels and they are not designed for the 1 mm safety edge. The Rolacut-45 however
is dedicated to cut office labels, equipped with the sophisticated matrix rewind, the
precondition for high performance.
Where matrix rewind is neglected, office label productivity soon hits its limits and
becomes a struggle. As shown on the side view of the Rolacut-45, the matrix web is
supported by the die-cut cylinder; the ladder is not pulled away from the bottom layer,
but is securely carried by the die cut cylinder.
The second reason for the smooth matrix rewind is the fine tuned matrix rewind motor
with frequency inverter for minute control via the pneumatic dancer.

2. THE COMMON IMPRESSION CYLINDER RESULTS in PRECISE REGISTER
from DIE-CUT to CUT-OFF.

This construction is unique for the Rolacut-45 and meets the particular goals set for
office labels. The common impression cylinder has its particular advantages for quality
and runability.
Colour label presses are primarily oriented to roll-to-roll production and show separate
stations for die-cutting. Often a die-cut cylinder is used for cut-off, when sheeting is
required. Such a compromise is not found in the Rolacut-45; combined die-cutting
and sheeting are a necessity to hold the critical tolerance of the just 1 mm narrow
safety boarder.
The ROLACUT-45 with its common impression cylinder, the hard-on-hard (pinch type)
cut-off holds the web in firm position, essential for this demanding application.
You only need to be a fraction off and the fine matrix breaks, causing costly down-time,
low speed and depressing output.
Slitting and trimming on the ROLACUT-45 is done by buffered wheel holders, pneumatic
on/off and pressure limit, prevent lineal scratching of the anvil cylinder at all times.
A trim waste exhauster and sonorized waste cabinet is standard.

3. FLEXO UNITS for FRONT and BACK
The special design of the Rolacut-45-Flexo units allows for the strong entree into the
fast growing A4 laser labels, which often show a backside for logos or text.
Important is also the possibility for tinted labels. Even when 99% is now white, a
considerable expansion of blue, yellow, pink and other colours is very likely. The
consistent full tint of the web requires a high class flexo unit with modern chamber
ductor and matching anilox cylinder. A powerful IR-dryer belongs to the standard
configuration. Vertical air turn bars enable backside and frontside printing on the
ROLACUT-45. Motorized lineal register between print and cut-off, as well as print-
to-print, is set on the touch-screen.

4. The BC35-STACKER for ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE
The integrated AUTOMATION-stacker is of specific advantage to boost the productivity
for office labels on the Rolacut-45. The sheets are precisely counted (two streams),
jogged and straightly batched. Packs up to 20 mm (0.8") are automatically in-line
boxed in lid-and-bottom boxes, labelled at one or both ends and film wrapped.
The ROLACUT-45 is a ONE-MAN-OPERATION. At speeds over 100 meters/minute it
is the strong base to offer first class service and to make A4-laser labels a winning
specialisation. Automation-Stackers are offered in various configurations following
the users specifications for stack heights, packaging and labelling. One or two inserters
and labelling are most interesting options.

5. FLEXIBILITY by ADD-ON
Most of the described features are available for field add-on, to allow the user to expand
and benefit from the growing business.
